Kattumannarkoil lies in Cuddalore district in Tamil Nadu, on the low, fertile plain at the northern edge of the Cauvery delta. The Veera Narayana Perumal temple is the town's principal landmark, and Kattumannarkoil is traditionally regarded as the birthplace of Nathamuni, an early teacher in the Sri Vaishnava tradition.
