Kırıkhan is a town in Hatay province in southern Turkey, where the Nur Mountains, also known as the Amanos, meet the broad Amik plain. From above, the town sits right at that edge: streets climb a little toward the slopes on one side, while the other side opens onto flat farmland crossed by long, straight roads and irrigation channels.
Kırıkhan lies on the main route between the Mediterranean coast and the interior, and roads and a rail line pass through or near it. It was among the towns severely damaged by the February 2023 earthquakes, and reconstruction has changed parts of the town since then.
