Konch is a town in the Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh, in the Bundelkhand region of northern India. The country around it is broad and flat, farmed plain crossed by roads that head out to neighbouring towns and villages. From above, the town shows up as a tight knot of streets surrounded by open fields.
The centre is dense and irregular, with narrow lanes that bend and branch rather than following a planned grid. Toward the edges the pattern loosens, and newer streets are more widely spaced. Field boundaries take over past them, dividing the land into small agricultural plots.
