Laguna Niguel lies in south Orange County, a few kilometres inland from the Pacific, and its map looks nothing like a traditional grid. The city was largely developed as a master-planned community from the 1960s onward, and its streets follow the hills: long curving collectors, loops, and branching cul-de-sacs that fan across ridges and down into small valleys.
Crown Valley Parkway runs through the city as its main artery, linking the freeway to the coast. To the west, Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park forms a large open area of ridges and canyons, and Laguna Niguel Regional Park adds a lake and green space to the north. Between them, neighbourhoods wrap around the contours in dense, organic patterns.
The city is also home to the Chet Holifield Federal Building, a stepped, ziggurat-shaped structure that is one of Orange County's most unusual buildings. A Laguna Niguel map poster, with its swirling residential streets and open canyon land, is one of the more sculptural maps you can hang, closer to a drawing than to a diagram.
Residential streets loop and branch across the hills, ending in cul-de-sacs that form feathered, leaf-like shapes on the map, the city's most recognisable texture.
The city's main road crosses from the inland freeway toward the coast, a long flowing line that ties the curving neighbourhoods on either side together.
Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park covers the western edge with ridges and ravines, an open expanse where the streets stop and the natural landscape takes over.

Ko e hā ʻa Laguna Niguel
Families who settled in Laguna Niguel often chose it for the hills, the views and the closeness to the coast, and a map records that choice in a single image. Add a title, a subtitle with your street or move-in date, and a coordinates line.
The curving streets look striking in Sand, a natural fit for Southern California, and in Noir they read almost like calligraphy. HD files are $9 for six print sizes, each a 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF, and printed posters come with an optional wooden frame.
