Loboc lies in the interior of Bohol, in the Central Visayas of the Philippines. The Loboc River defines the town. It winds through a green, hilly landscape of palms and forest, and its bends dominate every map of the area. The town centre sits near the river, with roads running along and across the valley.
Loboc is known for its river cruises, where floating restaurants drift upstream past palm-lined banks, and for the Loboc Children's Choir. The historic stone church of San Pedro, one of the oldest in Bohol, stands near the river. It was badly damaged in the 2013 earthquake and has since been restored.
A Loboc map poster turns the river into the main subject. Its loops through the valley, the bridges across it and the small town on its bank make an elegant composition, one that people who have visited Bohol will recognise at a glance.
The river winds through the valley in wide, graceful curves, and it is the most recognisable line on the map.
The historic stone church of San Pedro stands near the water at the heart of the old town and anchors the town centre.
Hills covered with palms and forest rise on both sides of the river and frame the town and its roads.

Loboc is a lovely reminder of a trip to Bohol, a river cruise or a family home in the Visayas. The river's curves make it one of those maps that looks good even to people who have never been there.
