Lochearn is an unincorporated community in Baltimore County, Maryland, just beyond the north-western city line of Baltimore. It is almost entirely residential. Its map shows a mix of mid-twentieth-century subdivisions: some streets are laid out in short grids, while others curve gently around hills and follow the natural lines of the land.
Wooded stream valleys cross the area and leave green bands among the houses. The Baltimore Beltway runs close by and draws a strong curve through the surrounding map. Liberty Road, one of the main routes out of the city, passes through the community and is lined with shops and services.
