Lumut sits on the west coast of Perak, where the Dinding River widens into an estuary before reaching the Strait of Malacca. The map is shaped by water on several sides: the river mouth, the coastline and the sheltered channel between the mainland and Pangkor Island. The town's streets form a compact grid close to the waterfront, with newer districts spreading inland.
Lumut is home to the main base of the Royal Malaysian Navy, which occupies a large, clearly defined area along the shore. The town is also known as the departure point for ferries to Pangkor, and its jetty and waterfront are a familiar sight to travellers heading to the island. Shipyards and marine industry line parts of the estuary.
A Lumut map poster captures a place organised around the sea. The coastline and the curve of the river give the composition its structure, the jetties and piers extend as small precise lines into the water, and the town grid sits between them in a neat, readable block.
The river opens into a broad estuary before meeting the sea, and its shape forms the strongest natural outline on the map, framing the town from one side.
The waterfront jetty serving Pangkor Island projects into the channel, a small but recognisable detail for anyone who has taken the crossing.
The navy's large coastal base occupies a long stretch of shore, appearing on the map as a distinct area with its own internal pattern of roads.

Ko e hā ʻa Lumut
Lumut has personal meaning for many people: those who served or trained at the naval base, families who live there, and travellers who remember it as the gateway to Pangkor. A map of the harbour turns those memories into something calm and graphic.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates to mark a posting, a holiday or a family connection. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand; the coastal lines work especially well in Blueprint and Noir.
