Canal ring
Canals surround the old town on all sides, drawing a clear loop around the historic centre that is the first thing the eye finds on the map.

Malmö faces the Öresund strait at the southwestern tip of Sweden, with Copenhagen visible across the water. On a map, the old town is held inside a ring of canals, while beyond it the city spreads out in a mix of nineteenth-century blocks, green parks and newer districts that stretch south along the shore.
Since 2000 the Öresund Bridge has linked Malmö to Denmark, a long line leaving the coast and crossing the strait toward Copenhagen. In the Western Harbour, a former shipyard area turned into housing, the twisting Turning Torso tower rises above the waterfront, visible from far across the flat landscape.
A Malmö map poster shows the geometry of the centre around Stortorget and the canals, the green band of Slottsparken and Kungsparken beside Malmöhus Castle, and the long, straight shoreline of Ribersborg beach. It is a compact, readable city, and one that works especially well in clean black and white.

Castle parks
West of the centre, Malmöhus Castle and a chain of parks form a broad green space, softening the dense grid with curving paths and ponds.
Western Harbour
Reclaimed industrial land juts into the strait with piers, basins and new streets, an angular, modern contrast to the older fabric of the city.

Malmö is a city of arrivals: students, families from around the world and commuters crossing the bridge each day. A map of its canals and coastline makes a fine gift for a move, a graduation or a new home by the water.
Add your own title and subtitle, a date on the coordinates line, and choose one of five styles. Classic black & white keeps it spare and Scandinavian, while Blueprint emphasises canals and harbour lines. Printed posters come with an optional wooden frame.
