Manéah lies east of Conakry in Guinea's Kindia region, where the capital's growth spreads inland from the Kaloum peninsula. The town stretches along the main road that leads from Conakry toward Coyah and the interior, and its streets branch outward from that corridor across the lowland, with the hills of the interior rising beyond.
The area has grown quickly in recent decades as people have settled outside the crowded capital, and much of the development is new, with residential neighbourhoods expanding across former farmland and bush. As a result the town's layout is still taking shape, with a denser strip along the main road and looser development toward its edges.
