Minbu lies on the west bank of the Ayeyarwady river in Myanmar's Magway Region, opposite the city of Magway on the east bank. From above, the river dominates the map: a wide channel with shifting sandbanks, and the town arranged along its bank with streets reaching back from the water toward drier land.
The two towns are linked by a road bridge across the Ayeyarwady, which appears on the map as a strong line spanning the river. Minbu is also known for the mud volcanoes nearby, small cones of bubbling mud that are a curiosity of the region and a local site of pilgrimage.
A Minbu map poster places the river at the centre of the composition, with the town on one side and the broad water and sandbanks filling much of the frame. It is a map about a riverside place, drawn with the simplicity the setting deserves.
The broad Ayeyarwady runs past the town, with sandbanks and channels that make the river the largest and most striking feature on the map.
A road bridge crosses the river to Magway on the opposite bank, a single long line connecting the two towns across the water.
The town's streets run along and away from the west bank, giving Minbu an outline shaped by the river rather than by a planned grid.

Rivers make some of the most elegant map posters, and Minbu's position on the Ayeyarwady gives it a clear, open design. It is a meaningful print for anyone from the Magway area.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, and choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
