Monaco-Ville on the Rock
A compact headland of old streets projecting into the sea. It holds the palace and the cathedral, and its sharp rocky outline makes it the clearest landmark on the map.

Monaco covers barely two square kilometres, and on a map it looks like a city with nowhere left to go. Buildings stack along a thin coastal ribbon between the steep slopes of the Maritime Alps and the Mediterranean. Roads switch back and forth up the hillside, tunnels run beneath the densest districts, and the border with France lies only a few streets inland.
The Rock organises the whole shape. This is the headland of Monaco-Ville, where the Prince's Palace stands. Port Hercule sits in the bay to its east, overlooked by the terraces of La Condamine and Monte Carlo. To the west, Fontvieille stands largely on land reclaimed from the sea. Its straight edges and marina stand out against the older, curving shoreline.
Each spring the streets around the harbour become the circuit of the Monaco Grand Prix, and racing fans can trace the route turn by turn on the printed sheet. A Monaco map poster shows the principality at its most graphic. Its tightly packed lanes, hairpins and quays fill the frame from edge to edge in fine black lines.

The deep-water harbour between the Rock and Monte Carlo, framed by breakwaters and quays. The Grand Prix circuit wraps around its edge.
A district built on reclaimed land west of the Rock. It is easy to spot for its geometric shoreline, its small marina and the straight blocks laid out behind it.

Monaco suits anyone who follows motorsport, has spent a summer on the Riviera or likes maps where every millimetre is used. The density becomes a rich pattern of lines that holds attention up close and still reads clearly from across the room.
Personalise the title and subtitle, add a race year or another date that matters, and edit the coordinates line. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF files, or have it printed and framed.
