Seen from above, Muan hardly reads as a single town. The county spreads across a low peninsula in the southwest of Korea, its edges torn into inlets, mudflats and reclaimed fields that hold straight dykes. Village roads wander between paddies and low hills, and the small administrative centre sits inland as a compact knot of streets.
Muan has become the administrative heart of Jeollanam-do. The provincial government moved to the planned Namak new town on the county's southern edge, and its orderly blocks and wide avenues contrast with the older rural pattern to the north. Muan International Airport occupies a long, straight strip near the western coast, one of the few truly rigid lines on the map.
The county is also known for its onions and for tidal flats protected as wetland. A Muan map poster shows all of this at once: the soft, uneven coastline, the geometry of reclaimed land and the careful grid of a new capital district, rendered in quiet lines.
The western and northern shores break into shallow bays and mudflats, drawn as an irregular, feathered edge that changes the whole character of the poster compared with an inland town.
The planned district that houses the Jeollanam-do provincial offices appears as a tidy block of curved avenues and apartment superblocks, clearly distinct from the older villages around it.
Muan International Airport lays a single long runway near the coast, a straight, deliberate stroke that anchors the composition among fields and winding farm roads.

People hang Muan for different reasons: a family home in a peninsula village, a first posting at the provincial government, a memory of the mudflats at low tide. The map holds the whole county in one frame, so each of those stories finds its place.
Add a title, a date or the name of a village in the subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line to a single address. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the $9 HD files or order a printed poster, framed if you like.
