Namerikawa lies on the eastern shore of Toyama Bay. It is best known for firefly squid, the small glowing hotaruika that rise near the surface of the bay each spring, and the town has a museum dedicated to them. On the map, the coastline is the defining line: a gently curved shore with the town's streets arranged in parallel behind it.
Rivers fed by the Tateyama mountains to the southeast cross the town on their way to the sea. They cut through the street network at fairly regular intervals, dividing it into sections. Farther inland, the rice fields of the Toyama plain appear as open ground broken up by roads and small clusters of houses.
A Namerikawa map poster balances three elements: the bay, the rivers and the orderly Japanese street grid. In monochrome, the smooth curve of the coast and the straight lines of the rivers make an elegant and restrained composition.
The town follows a long, gently curved coastline. It is the same bay where firefly squid appear in spring, and on the print it forms the main edge.
Short, fast rivers from the Tateyama range cross the town on their way to the sea. They divide the street network into clearly separated sections.
Inland, farmland opens out across the level Toyama plain. On the poster it becomes a quiet background of scattered roads and settlements.

The print suits anyone connected to Toyama: people who grew up by the bay, travellers who came to see the firefly squid, or readers of maps who enjoy Japanese coastal towns. Its calm lines fit a Japanese-inspired interior well.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, including in Japanese. Pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir suits a bay known for light glowing on dark water.
