Noicattaro lies a short distance inland from the Adriatic, southeast of Bari, on the gently sloping limestone land that rises from the coast toward the Murgia. The historic centre is a dense cluster of narrow alleys and small courtyards, and on the map it shows up as a tight, irregular core that contrasts with the more orderly blocks built around it in later decades.
Beyond the houses, the territory is almost entirely agricultural. Noicattaro is known for table grapes, and the vineyards, often covered with protective netting in season, sit alongside old olive groves in a patchwork of rectangular plots. Dry-stone walls and farm tracks divide the land into narrow strips, giving the outer parts of the map a fine, repetitive texture.
Roads fan out from the town toward Bari, Rutigliano, Mola di Bari and the coast, so the settlement sits at the centre of a loose star of routes. A Noicattaro map poster keeps that structure visible: the old centre at the hub, the newer rings of housing around it and the working countryside reaching out on every side.
The old town forms a compact knot of narrow, winding lanes, instantly recognisable on the map against the straighter streets laid out in the surrounding newer districts.
Table grape vineyards and olive groves divide the countryside into long rectangular parcels, producing a fine striped pattern that fills much of the poster around the town.
Country roads leave the centre in several directions toward neighbouring towns and the Adriatic coast, forming a star-shaped network that frames the settlement.
