Nong Chok is the largest district of Bangkok by area, and it looks nothing like the dense city centre. On the map it is a wide, flat stretch of land divided by straight canals and roads. Villages, farms, fishponds and open fields sit between them, and the built-up areas come in small, scattered groups instead of continuous blocks.
The canal network, or khlongs, dates back to earlier irrigation and transport works across the eastern plain. From above, it creates a strong linear pattern, with long parallel lines of water and roads crossing at right angles. It is one of the clearest geometric landscapes anywhere in greater Bangkok.
The district is also known for its large Muslim community, and mosques appear among the villages alongside Buddhist temples. A Nong Chok map poster shows the rural side of the capital, a Bangkok of water, fields and quiet roads.
Long, straight khlongs cross the district in parallel lines, and they create an almost ruled pattern across the flat eastern plain.
Fields, fishponds and orchards fill much of the district, so it is the least urban part of the capital when seen from above.
Small settlements gather along canals and roads, each with its own mosque or temple, and they appear as scattered clusters on the print.

Ko e hā ʻa Nong Chok
Nong Chok suits people who want a different image of Bangkok, or who have family ties to its canal-side villages. Its geometric water pattern also works simply as a piece of graphic design.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates, and pick Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the canal lines especially well.
