Orangeville is the seat of Dufferin County in southern Ontario, northwest of Toronto. It sits on high ground near the headwaters of the Credit River, and the map shows a compact historic core surrounded by newer residential subdivisions of curving crescents and cul-de-sacs, with farmland and rolling hills beyond.
The town's main street, Broadway, is known for its unusual width, and its downtown is lined with older brick buildings.
