Orvault Map Poster & Print
Orvault lies on the north-western edge of Nantes, in the Loire-Atlantique department, and is part of the Nantes metropolitan area. On the map, though, it looks less like a city district than a town of separate neighbourhoods with greenery between them. Residential areas, older village centres and business zones sit among woods, parks and small valleys.
The river Cens crosses the commune in a winding valley lined with paths and green space before flowing on toward Nantes. The Nantes ring road passes through the south of Orvault. Several former country estates and their parks survive among the housing, a reminder of the time when Nantes families built country houses here.
An Orvault map poster shows this suburban balance clearly. Curving residential streets fill the space between broad strips of green, the ring road draws a bold line across the south, and the Cens valley winds through the middle. It is a map for people who know the commune as a home with the city close by.
