Planned garrison layout

Pādegān-e Manjīl lies near the town of Manjil in Gilan Province, in northern Iran. The word pādegān refers to a garrison, and the settlement's layout reflects that origin: a more regular, planned arrangement of streets and blocks than the older towns of the region. From above, it appears as a compact, ordered pattern set within a much wilder landscape.
That landscape is the valley of the Sefid Rud, which cuts through the Alborz mountains on its way to the Caspian Sea. The Manjil area is known for its strong, steady winds, which have made it one of the main sites of wind power in Iran. The river, the main road through the valley and the steep terrain around them all shape the map.
A Pādegān-e Manjīl map poster captures the contrast between the planned settlement and the natural corridor it sits in. The straight internal streets, the curve of the valley routes and the open ground beyond give a composition that is both orderly and clearly placed in the mountains of the north.
The settlement's streets follow a more regular geometry than older towns nearby, so on the poster it reads as a neat, deliberate block of lines within open terrain.
The river carves a corridor through the Alborz toward the Caspian. Its course and the routes following it form the main structural lines of the wider map.
The Manjil area is known for strong winds and wind turbines. Around the settlement, the map opens into sparse roads and open slopes shaped by that exposed terrain.

For people who served, lived or grew up here, the place carries strong personal memories that are rarely captured anywhere. A clean map poster is a quiet way to mark that time and connection without needing a photograph.
You can set your own title and subtitle, such as a name or years of service, and edit the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
