Phan Thiết grew up around the mouth of the Cà Ty River on Vietnam's south-central coast, and the river still divides the city on the map. Boats crowd the lower stretch near the sea, and bridges connect the two banks at close intervals. The older centre sits beside the water, while newer districts and resort roads spread along the coast in both directions.
The city has long been known for its fish sauce, made in large fermentation houses along the coast. East of the centre the shoreline curves away toward Mũi Né, where long beaches give way to broad red and white sand dunes. On a Phan Thiết map poster the coastline becomes a single clean arc that ties the port town to its resort peninsula.
East of the centre, the Po Sah Inư Cham towers stand on a low hill, a reminder of the Champa kingdom that once ruled this region. The city's water tower is a familiar landmark near the river. After recent administrative changes, Phan Thiết now belongs to Lâm Đồng province. The street pattern stays compact, with markets and houses packed close to the water.
The river flows through the middle of the city into the sea. Its lower reaches are lined with fishing boats and crossed by several bridges.
The shoreline sweeps east from the city in a long curve toward Mũi Né, past beaches and resort roads, with extensive sand dunes beyond.
On a hill east of the centre stand the brick Po Sah Inư towers. They were built during the Champa era and still show as a small cluster above the coast.

Ko e hā ʻa Phan Thiết
Phan Thiết means different things to different people: a hometown of fishing families, a first trip to the dunes, a stretch of coast for long holidays. A map of the river mouth and the curving shore keeps that memory in a simple, unhurried form.
