Ko e mape
Prayagraj, known for centuries as Allahabad, sits on a peninsula between the Ganges and the Yamuna in Uttar Pradesh. The rivers join at the eastern tip of the city, at the Triveni Sangam, traditionally held to be the meeting point with a third, mythical river, the Saraswati. On a map, the two broad channels wrap around the urban area to the north, east and south.
