Sāmalkot lies in the fertile plain of the Godavari delta in Andhra Pradesh, a short distance inland from the port city of Kakinada. From above it reads as a dense town core surrounded by paddy fields, with irrigation channels running in long, deliberate lines through the farmland. Those channels give the map a quiet geometry that contrasts with the irregular lanes of the older centre.
The town is best known for the Kumararama Bhimeswara temple, one of the five Pancharama shrines dedicated to Shiva and a notable example of Eastern Chalukya architecture. On a map, the temple compound appears as a clear rectangular enclosure among the smaller residential blocks, a fixed point that the surrounding streets seem to orient around. It anchors the older part of town.
Sāmalkot is also a railway junction, where the branch towards Kakinada meets the main east coast line, and the tracks cut a firm diagonal across the plan. A Sāmalkot map poster keeps all of this in fine black lines: the rail corridor, the canal edges, the temple block and the lanes in between, rendered cleanly enough to hang as a piece of graphic design.
The Kumararama Bhimeswara temple sits within a walled rectangular compound, a strong geometric shape that stands out clearly among the finer grain of the surrounding town blocks.
The east coast main line and the branch to Kakinada meet here, drawing long, straight tracks that divide the town and give the whole composition a sense of direction.
Irrigation channels of the Godavari delta run through the fields around town, adding precise linear strokes that frame the denser street pattern at the centre.

Ko e hā ʻa Sāmalkot
For people from the Kakinada area, Sāmalkot is often a familiar name from temple visits, train journeys or family roots. A map of its lanes, tracks and canals is a restrained way to keep that connection visible at home, without leaning on photographs or souvenirs.
You can add a title, a subtitle such as a family name or date, and a coordinates line, then choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It is available as a $9 HD digital file or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
