Samphanthawong is the smallest of Bangkok's fifty districts by area, and one of the densest on a map. It sits on the east bank of the Chao Phraya, southeast of the old royal city, and contains most of Bangkok's Chinatown. From above it looks like a compact wedge of short streets and narrow lanes, cut by a few longer roads and bounded on one side by the river's curve.
Yaowarat Road runs through the district as its main commercial spine, lined with gold shops and, at night, street food stalls. Parallel to it, the narrow Sampeng Lane has served as a wholesale market for well over a century. Wat Traimit, home to a large solid-gold seated Buddha, stands near the district's eastern edge.
A Samphanthawong map poster is about density. The lines crowd so closely that alleys, sois and shophouse passages almost merge, while the river draws a clean, broad curve along the edge. It makes an unusual and detailed print, especially for anyone who has walked these streets rather than driven through them.

A narrow lane running parallel to Yaowarat, closer to the river. On the map it appears as a thin, continuous thread through the densest blocks of the district.
The Chao Phraya forms the district's south-western boundary. Its wide band contrasts with the fine grain of the streets beside it and links Chinatown to the rest of the city by water.

This is a map for people who know Bangkok up close: those who grew up in Chinatown families, who shop at Sampeng, or who remember a particular night of food on Yaowarat. Its fine detail holds up well at larger sizes such as 50×70 cm or 24×36″.
You can title the poster in your own words, add a subtitle and edit the coordinates line, then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital files are $9, and printed or framed versions ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
