San Roque sits on a hill at the head of the Bay of Algeciras in southern Spain. Its old town is a compact knot of streets on the summit, and the wider municipality spreads down toward the bay, the Guadarranque river and the coast. On clear maps Gibraltar's outline appears just across the water to the south.
The town was founded in 1706 by residents of Gibraltar who left after the Rock was taken in 1704. It still describes itself as the city where Gibraltar resides. The municipality also includes Sotogrande to the north-east, with its marina and golf courses.
A San Roque map poster captures the town's watchful position: the dense hilltop core, the roads winding down and the broad curve of the bay. The mix of old streets, coastline and industry makes a varied, layered composition.
The historic centre crowns a hill, its compact streets looking out over the bay, the position chosen by the town's founders in 1706.
The wide bay frames the southern edge of the map, with the shoreline curving toward Algeciras on one side and Gibraltar on the other.
The Rock stands just across the water, and its presence gives the map a strong geographic and historic reference point.

Ko e hā ʻa San Roque
San Roque's history is tied to Gibraltar, and its hilltop streets mean a great deal to people on both sides of the border. This map gives that relationship a clear visual form.
Personalise the title and subtitle, add a family name or date, and keep the coordinates line. Blueprint suits the bay, while Paper and Sand echo the white Andalusian town.
