Sidi Akkacha lies in Chlef Province in northern Algeria, a short distance inland from the Mediterranean coast near Ténès. The land here belongs to the Dahra, a band of coastal hills between the sea and the broad Chelif valley to the south. The town sits on gently sloping ground, with streets running out along the main roads.
The countryside around the town is farmland, with fields, orchards and olive groves on the slopes and small streams running down toward the sea.
