Sishui is a county within Jining in southern Shandong, set among low hills to the east of Qufu. The county town lies in a valley, with the Si River running past and a mix of older streets and newer, wider roads spreading out onto the surrounding farmland. The county takes its name from the Si River, which rises within its borders at a cluster of springs known as Quanlin, the spring forest, long visited and written about.
