Soacha borders Bogotá to the south-west, on the high plateau of the Bogotá savanna at more than 2,500 metres above sea level. It is part of the capital's continuous urban area, and from above the boundary is often invisible: streets simply carry on across the municipal line. The Autopista Sur runs through it as the main road out towards the south-west of the country.
The map divides into distinct zones. The flat land near the Bogotá River holds the historic centre, industrial areas and large newer housing projects laid out in regular blocks. To the east and south, neighbourhoods such as Altos de Cazucá climb steep, dry hillsides. Their streets wind and switch back to fit the slopes, producing a far more intricate pattern.
Beyond the urban area, the municipality includes the Tequendama Falls, where the Bogotá River drops over a cliff into a forested canyon. It is one of the best-known natural sites near the capital. A Soacha map poster focuses on the urban area itself: the plateau grid, the hillside neighbourhoods and the roads that tie them to Bogotá.
The main highway from Bogotá runs through Soacha. It draws a strong line that organises commerce, transport and much of the city's growth along its length.
On the slopes to the east and south, streets curve around the contours and dead-end against ridges. The result is a dense, organic pattern that contrasts with the flat districts below.
The river runs along the western side of the urban area across the savanna, a winding line between the city and the open land beyond.

Ko e hā ʻa Soacha
Soacha is home to hundreds of thousands of families, many of whom built their lives and houses here from the ground up. A map of these streets records that effort. Put a barrio or a surname in the title, a date in the subtitle, and an exact place in the coordinates line.
The hillside streets stand out in Noir and Classic black & white. Paper and Sand soften them for a home, and Blueprint gives a surveyed look. Choose the $9 digital download in six sizes, or a matte printed poster shipped by partners in more than 30 countries.
