St. Catharines is the largest city in Ontario's Niagara Region, on the south shore of Lake Ontario. On a map, several strong lines cross it. The Welland Canal runs north–south along the eastern side, carrying ships between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie around Niagara Falls. Twelve Mile Creek winds through the city in a green valley to the west.
Earlier versions of the canal passed through the city, and their traces remain in the landscape. At the lakeshore, the former village of Port Dalhousie sits at the mouth of the creek, with a harbour and beach. The Martindale Pond rowing course next to it hosts the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta. The Queen Elizabeth Way crosses the city between the lake and the escarpment.
A St. Catharines map poster captures a city called the Garden City for its parks and gardens. To the south, the land rises to the Niagara Escarpment, where Brock University stands, and the vineyards of the Niagara wine region fill the surrounding countryside.
The modern canal runs through the eastern side of the city, with locks and wide channels forming a strong, straight line on the map.
The creek winds through a green valley and flows into Martindale Pond, where rowers train on the regatta course.
Lake Ontario forms the northern boundary, with Port Dalhousie's harbour and beach marking where the creek meets the lake.

Ko e hā ʻa St. Catharines
For Brock graduates, rowers and families across Niagara, St. Catharines means the canal, the creek and the lake. A map poster brings these into one clear composition.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a regatta year or a family address. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
