Taman Pelangi is a residential area in the Malaysian state of Johor. Like many places whose name begins with taman, it was laid out as a planned housing estate. From above, that planning is easy to read: rows of terraced houses in parallel lines, short connecting lanes, and a few larger plots set aside for schools, shops and places of worship.
Pelangi means rainbow in Malay, a cheerful name for a practical neighbourhood built around everyday life. Around the estate, the map shows the wider Johor landscape. Trunk roads carry traffic between towns, and green blocks of plantation and secondary growth fill the spaces between settlements across the surrounding countryside.
The appeal of a Taman Pelangi map poster lies in its rhythm. Terraced rows repeat like lines of type, broken by curving roads and cul-de-sacs, so the printed design reads almost like a textile pattern. It is a map of a place where people actually live, drawn clearly and with care.
Long, parallel rows of link houses create a strong repeating texture, the most recognisable feature of a Malaysian housing estate seen from above.
A main access road feeds a network of smaller lanes and loops, giving the neighbourhood a clear hierarchy that stays legible at every print size.
Beyond the last rows of houses, plantation blocks and patches of greenery fill the map, softening the edges of the estate.

A first home, a childhood street, the place your parents still live: housing estates hold more personal history than their neat plans suggest. This map lets you point to the exact row where it all happened.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a house number or the year you moved in, and adjust the coordinates line. Pick from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as $9 digital files or a framed print.
