Taman Scientex is a residential township in the Pasir Gudang area of Johor, on the eastern side of the Johor Bahru metropolitan region. Pasir Gudang is known for its port and industrial estates, and neighbourhoods like this one grew to house the people who work there.
The township's plan is recent and carefully designed. On a map, curving collector roads loop around blocks of terraced and other houses, with small parks and schools placed between them.
