Tlalnepantla de Baz lies in the State of México, just north of Mexico City, and its map has an unusual shape. The municipality is split into two separate parts, a larger western section and a smaller eastern one, divided by the capital's Gustavo A. Madero borough. Both are fully part of the metropolitan area, so streets run continuously across the boundaries.
The western part holds the historic centre, with its cathedral and plaza, surrounded by industrial zones, rail lines and residential colonias. The Periférico Norte ring road runs through it, carrying heavy traffic between the capital and the northern suburbs. The eastern part reaches the slopes of the Sierra de Guadalupe, where the streets begin to climb and bend around the hills.
The name comes from Nahuatl and is usually translated as the land in between, which fits a place between the capital and the growing towns to the north. A Tlalnepantla map poster can show the western half, where most of the city's life is concentrated, or be framed to include the eastern section and the edge of the sierra.
The municipality is divided into western and eastern sections separated by part of Mexico City. The split is invisible in the street grid, but it shapes local geography.
The ring road cuts through the western section as a broad, curving line. It gives the map a strong structure within the finer grid of neighbourhoods and industry.
In the east, streets thin out and twist as they meet the hills of the Sierra de Guadalupe, leaving a large blank area of protected land at the map's edge.

Ko e hā ʻa Tlalnepantla
Tlalnepantla is home to hundreds of thousands of people who commute, work and study across the northern metropolitan area. A map of its streets is a way to hold on to a particular colonia or family house. Add a name and a date in the title and subtitle, and set the coordinates to home.
The mix of industrial blocks and hillside streets reads well in Classic black & white and Noir. Blueprint emphasises the road network, and Paper and Sand bring warmth. The $9 digital download includes six sizes, and matte prints with an optional wooden frame ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
