Tombôco is a town and municipality in the Zaire province of northern Angola, inland from the Atlantic coast and the mouth of the Congo River. It serves as a local centre for a large rural area, and its map reads as a compact settlement surrounded by much wider open land.
From above, the town is built around a handful of main roads that meet near the centre, with a looser street pattern spreading outward. Beyond the last houses the lines thin out quickly into tracks and field paths across the landscape, so the print has a clear focus and a lot of quiet space around it.
Information about small Angolan towns can be sparse, and the map is the most honest portrait of the place: where the roads meet, where the houses gather, where the land opens up. A Tombôco map poster keeps that simplicity, a clean record of a home town for the people who know it.
Several regional roads come together near the centre of town. On the poster they read as the lines that hold the settlement together.
The town's streets gather in a fairly small core, a denser patch of lines surrounded by the open landscape of the province.
Beyond the built-up area the map becomes sparse and open, with only tracks crossing it. That emptiness is part of what makes the print calm.

For people from Tombôco living in Luanda, abroad or anywhere else, a map is a simple way to keep home in view. Its compact shape and open surroundings make a print that feels quiet rather than busy.
