Woodbridge lies within Woodbridge Township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, a place whose map is dominated by transport. The New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway both pass through the township, and US Routes 1 and 9 add another strong line. Seen from above, these corridors and their interchanges carve the land into distinct pieces, each filled with its own pattern of streets.
Between the highways, the older core near the rail line has a compact, irregular grid, while later residential areas spread out in looser blocks and cul-de-sacs. Large retail footprints and parking fields appear as pale open shapes. A Woodbridge map poster turns this mix of heavy infrastructure and quiet neighbourhood streets into a surprisingly graphic image, full of loops and crossings.
Woodbridge Township received its charter in 1669, making it one of the oldest municipalities in New Jersey. Today it is known largely as a commuter place, linked by rail and road to New York City and the rest of the state. For residents, the familiar highway exits and the train station often serve as the first reference points they look for on the map.
The Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway cross through the township, and their ramps and looping curves form some of the most distinctive shapes on the whole map.
Near the railway, the historic centre keeps a tighter, less regular street pattern than the newer subdivisions, a clear sign of where the settlement first grew.
US 1 and 9 run as a broad commercial spine, lined with large building footprints and parking areas that register as open, pale blocks among the residential streets.

A home in Woodbridge often means a daily routine shaped by those roads and trains, and seeing them laid out cleanly can be oddly satisfying. It works well as a first-home gift, a reminder of where a family started, or a record of years spent commuting.
