Yazman is a town in Bahawalpur District in the south of Punjab, Pakistan. It sits at an edge: to one side, land watered by the canal system of the Punjab plains, and to the other, the drier country leading into the Cholistan Desert. On a map this makes for a striking contrast between dense, gridded farmland and large, almost empty areas.
The town itself forms a compact cluster of streets and bazaars, with roads leading out toward Bahawalpur and the surrounding villages.
