Yono sits in the hilly north of Osaka Prefecture, well away from the dense grid of central Osaka. The ground here rises into forested ridges cut by small valleys. Settlement follows the gentler slopes and the valley floors, leaving the steeper ground wooded.
On a map, this produces an irregular pattern. Roads twist to follow contours, residential clusters sit where the terrain allows, and rice fields or open land fill the flatter pockets. There are few straight lines. The overall shape reflects the ground rather than a planned grid, which is unusual so close to a major city.
A Yono map poster is for people who know this quieter part of the Kansai region. That might be a former resident, someone whose family lives in the hills, or a traveller who went north out of Osaka and found somewhere greener. The print shows how closely the roads follow the land.
Streets bend and loop to follow the slopes. The resulting linework is organic and full of curves, very different from Osaka's flat urban grid.
Houses gather in the lower, flatter pockets between hills. On the poster they show up as small clusters linked by winding roads.
Forested high ground occupies much of the frame as open space. The built areas appear as islands within it.

Not every Japan poster has to be Tokyo or Kyoto. A map of Yono records a specific hillside community, perhaps a family home or a place tied to a particular year.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, including in Japanese. The five styles, Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, cover everything from stark to warm.
