Castle rock
The castle sits on an isolated crag in the middle of town. The streets bend around it, so the rock becomes the natural centre of the whole composition.

Almansa Map Poster & Print
Almansa lies in the province of Albacete, at the eastern edge of Castilla-La Mancha, where the plateau begins to give way toward Valencia and Murcia. The town's most recognisable feature is its castle, which stands on a steep limestone outcrop rising straight out of the old centre. On a map, the streets gather around the foot of that rock and then spread outward across flat ground.
The old quarter is irregular, with narrow lanes curving around the base of the hill. Newer districts extend in more regular blocks, and industrial areas and ring roads mark the outer edge. The town has long been associated with footwear manufacturing. It also gave its name to the Battle of Almansa, fought nearby in 1707 during the War of the Spanish Succession.
An Almansa map poster shows a town shaped by one dominant landform. The tight weave of the historic centre contrasts with the broader modern grid, and main roads leave in several directions across the plain. North of town is the Almansa reservoir, whose dam is counted among the oldest still in use in Europe. It adds a small body of water to an otherwise dry landscape.

Historic quarter
Beneath the castle, the old streets form a dense, irregular pattern. They contrast clearly with the straighter blocks of the neighbourhoods added in later decades.
Open plain
Beyond the built-up area, the map opens onto flat farmland crossed by roads and tracks. Low hills along the edges frame the scene.
