Market core
The oldest part of town forms the tightest cluster on the map. There the blocks are smaller and closer together, a sign of the commercial role Banamba has held for a long time.

Banamba Map Poster & Print
Banamba lies in the Koulikoro Region of Mali, north of Bamako, and is the seat of Banamba Cercle. It stands on open, nearly level ground, and the map reflects that. Nothing forces the streets to bend, so the town spreads in loose, blocky quarters around its older core. Roads lead out to surrounding villages in several directions.
In the nineteenth century Banamba was an important regional trading town, and historians still discuss the large departure of enslaved people from the area in the early 1900s. The town's modern layout is modest: market streets near the centre, larger compounds further out, and the edges fading into farmland.
A Banamba map poster shows that plainness without decoration. It has a few principal roads, a dense but low central grain, and a lot of surrounding space. The print is quiet and well balanced, and for anyone connected to the town it gives a precise picture of a place that larger maps usually reduce to a single dot.

Radiating roads
Several routes leave the centre toward neighbouring settlements and toward Bamako. They make a loose star shape that anchors the whole composition.
Level plain
There are no hills or large rivers to shape the plan, so the street pattern shows the town's growth in its simplest form: blocks added outward over time.

Anlam taşıyan bir harita
This map is for people with roots in Banamba, whether they live nearby or far away. It is a factual record of home streets and an unusual piece for a wall that usually holds photographs.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for example with a family name or a year. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper and Sand give the plain a softer, warmer tone.
