Bar Map Poster & Print
Bar lies on the southern Montenegrin coast, facing the Adriatic across a broad bay. On a map, the modern town stretches along the waterfront, with a large port, long breakwaters and a relatively regular street pattern filling the flat land between sea and hills. It is Montenegro's main seaport and the terminus of the Belgrade–Bar railway.
Inland, the ground rises steeply toward Mount Rumija, and the map changes character. Roads wind up the slopes to Stari Bar, the old town, whose fortified ruins sit on a hillside several kilometres from the sea. Nearby, in Mirovica, grows an olive tree believed to be more than two thousand years old.
A Bar map poster shows these two sides of the town together: the harbour and grid below, and the winding approach to the old settlement above. The coastline and mountains give the composition a strong, natural frame.

Bar is a place of arrivals and departures, ferries, trains and summers by the sea. A map of the town recalls the harbour, the coast road and the climb to the old town, a good image for anyone with ties to Montenegro's coast.
