Belleville Map Poster & Print
Belleville lies on the north shore of the Bay of Quinte in eastern Ontario, where the Moira River flows into the bay. On a map the river runs through the centre, with the downtown gathered on its banks and older residential streets spreading out in a loose grid above the waterfront.
Highway 401 crosses the northern part of the city, and the Norris Whitney Bridge carries traffic across the bay to Prince Edward County, now well known for its wineries and beaches. The waterfront includes parks, trails and a marina, and the bay forms the city's southern edge.
A Belleville map poster brings together river, grid and bay in a clear arrangement. The Moira cuts through the streets, the long curve of the shoreline holds the city in place and the bridge extends across the water. It is a well-proportioned map for a city defined by its position at the water's edge.
