Bielsko-Biala Map Poster & Print
Bielsko-Biała was formed in 1951, when two towns on opposite banks of the Biała river were merged. The river once separated Silesia from Lesser Poland, and on a map you can still see two older centres facing each other across the water. From there, the city spreads north across gentler ground and south into the foothills.
The southern edge is the mountains. The Beskid Śląski rises directly above the city, and peaks such as Szyndzielnia and Klimczok are just a cable-car ride away. The city's elegant architecture earned it the nickname Little Vienna. It also has an industrial past: the small Fiat 126p was built here, and the city's animation studio created the cartoon Bolek and Lolek.
A Bielsko-Biala map poster shows a city pulled between valley and slope. The streets are dense and irregular near the old centres, then stretch out along the valleys into suburbs. In the south they break up into winding mountain roads. It is a lively, textured composition that fits a city known equally for its architecture and its hiking trails.

Beskid foothills
To the south the grid gives way to curving roads that climb into the mountains, and forested slopes leave broad open areas.
Northern spread
North of the centre the terrain flattens, and the streets become larger and more orderly, with housing estates and industrial areas.

Anlam taşıyan bir harita
The map means a lot to people from here: weekends on Szyndzielnia, a walk through the old streets, a childhood spent between two towns that became one. It works equally well in a living room or a mountain cabin.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to suit you. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Each one makes the mountain edge read differently.
