The Lim river
The river runs through the centre of town, curving gently along the valley floor. On the poster it becomes the spine around which all other lines are organised.

Bijelo Polje Map Poster & Print
Bijelo Polje lies in the valley of the Lim, one of the main rivers of northern Montenegro. The town extends along both banks, and its map is shaped by the valley: streets run parallel to the river, bridges connect the two sides, and development thins out quickly as the ground rises into hills. The Belgrade to Bar railway also follows this corridor.
The town is known for the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, where the Miroslav Gospel, one of the oldest and most valuable Serbian Cyrillic manuscripts, is traditionally held to have been written in the twelfth century. The name itself means white field. On a black and white poster, the long river corridor and the streets it holds form a clear, elegant composition.
A Bijelo Polje map poster suits people who grew up in the valley and later moved to Podgorica, Belgrade or further abroad, as well as families who keep strong ties with the north of Montenegro. It shows the town in its geographic setting: a ribbon of streets tied to the river and bounded by hills on either side.

Valley corridor
Streets, the main road and the railway all follow the valley, creating a long, narrow outline rather than a round town centre.
Bridges
Several crossings link the two banks, drawing short, decisive strokes across the river and showing how both halves of the town are joined.
