Old town core
The historic centre is a compact cluster of narrow streets and half-timbered buildings. It is easy to pick out on the map from the more spacious districts around it.

Blomberg Map Poster & Print
Blomberg is a town in the Lippe district of North Rhine-Westphalia, set among the hills of the Lippe uplands east of Detmold. Its historic centre stands on raised ground, with streets gathered close around the market square and the castle, and many half-timbered houses survive. Newer neighbourhoods extend down the slopes, and villages that belong to the town are scattered across the surrounding countryside.
Blomberg is often called the Nelkenstadt, the carnation town, after a local legend and the tradition that grew from it. Burg Blomberg, a former castle of the counts of Lippe, stands at the edge of the old town. The town is also the headquarters of Phoenix Contact, an electrical engineering company whose site adds a large modern footprint to the map.
A Blomberg map poster contrasts the tight, irregular medieval streets with the loops of post-war housing and the open land beyond. Curving lanes and patches of woodland trace the hills around the town, so the print has depth even at smaller sizes. It is a considered choice for anyone connected to Lippe.

Castle hill
Burg Blomberg, once a residence of the counts of Lippe, marks the edge of the old town, where the buildings give way to gardens and trees.
Lippe hill country
Villages, forest tracks and winding country roads spread across the uplands, giving the poster a detailed rural margin around the small town centre.

Neden Blomberg
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Blomberg combines a medieval town, a castle and an international company in one small place, and many people who come here for work end up staying. A map of the town is a thoughtful way to mark that move, or to keep a birthplace in Lippe close after leaving.
