Umbeluzi River
The river winds past the town through a green flood plain. Its meanders draw the most distinctive line on the map and support farming along its banks.

Boane Map Poster & Print
Boane lies in Maputo Province, a short drive south-west of the Mozambican capital, on the banks of the Umbeluzi River. The river is the dominant feature on the map. It curves through the district with farmland along its flood plain, while the town's streets spread over the gently rising ground nearby.
Boane sits on the main road from Maputo toward Namaacha and the border with Eswatini, and that route forms a clear line through the area. Upstream on the Umbeluzi, the Pequenos Libombos dam holds water that supplies the capital, which shows how important this river is to the region. Around the town, smallholdings and irrigated plots create a patchwork texture.
A Boane map poster brings out the relationship between road, river and farmland. In black and white the bends of the Umbeluzi become the strongest shape on the paper, the main road a firm straight counterpoint, and the town itself a loose cluster of streets growing outward as greater Maputo expands toward it.

Road to Namaacha
The route from Maputo toward the Eswatini border runs through Boane, a straight, strong axis connecting the town with the capital and with the hills to the west.
Growing outskirts
New housing spreads outward from the older centre, gradually linking Boane with the wider Maputo area and filling former farmland with loose, irregular blocks.

Neden Boane
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Boane is close enough to Maputo for daily life to flow between the two, yet far enough away to feel like its own place. A map poster records that home ground, with the river running through it.
Personalise the title and subtitle, in Portuguese or English, and set the coordinates line. Choose from five styles, download the HD files for $9, or order a printed poster on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
