Daecheon Beach
A long, gently curving beach runs along the coast west of the town centre, backed by the streets of the resort area. It is one of the clearest lines on the map.

Boryeong Map Poster & Print
Boryeong lies on the west coast of South Korea, facing the Yellow Sea. From above, the shoreline is its most expressive feature: a complex edge of bays, headlands and wide tidal flats, with islands scattered offshore. The main town sits a short distance inland, while Daecheon Beach, one of the best-known beaches in the country, stretches along the coast to the west.
Boryeong is known internationally for its summer Mud Festival, which draws visitors to Daecheon Beach to use mineral-rich mud from the local tidal flats. Inland, the land rises into forested hills. The rail line and highways run north to south along the coast and connect the city with the rest of South Chungcheong Province.
A Boryeong map poster works because of the contrast between the intricate coastline and the more regular pattern of the town. The sea and the islands create broad, open areas, while the streets gather around the centre and the beach resort. It is a coastal map with real variety, suited to anyone who knows this part of the Korean west coast.

Offshore islands
Islands of many sizes lie off the coast in the Yellow Sea, some of them reachable by ferry. On the poster they appear as small, distinct shapes against the open water.
Indented coastline
Bays, headlands and inlets give Boryeong a complex shoreline. The meeting of land and sea creates a rich outline that anchors the western side of the composition.
