Bremerhaven Map Poster & Print
Bremerhaven stretches along the east bank of the Weser where the river widens into the North Sea. The waterfront shapes the whole map. To the north a container terminal lines the shore for several kilometres, one of the longest continuous quays in Europe. In the middle the old harbour basins cut rectangular shapes into the land. To the south the fishing port curves in along the mouth of the Geeste.
The city was founded in the 1820s as a seaport for Bremen, further up the river, and it still belongs to the state of Bremen even though the two cities are about 60 kilometres apart. For a century it was one of the main ports from which emigrants sailed to America, a story now told at the German Emigration Center on the waterfront.
A Bremerhaven map poster captures the geometry of a working port: straight quays, rectangular docks and the broad grey river beside them. The Havenwelten district, with its museums and the tall Sail City hotel, sits at the centre. The residential streets spread inland behind the water in a far calmer pattern.

Harbour basins
Old docks cut rectangular basins into the city centre. The Havenwelten waterfront, with its museums and emigration centre, sits among them.
Weser mouth
The river opens into the North Sea along the city's western edge, filling a large part of the frame with water.

Neden Bremerhaven
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Bremerhaven means a lot to sailors, port workers and families who trace an emigrant ancestor back to these docks. A title with a ship name, a departure year or a family name turns the map into a record of that history.
The harbour's straight lines look sharp in Blueprint and dramatic in Noir. Classic black and white, Paper and Sand are the other styles. The $9 HD download includes six sizes as 300 DPI PNG files and print-ready PDFs, with no watermark.
