Housing estates
Planned developments fill large parts of the city with rows of uniform plots and looping internal streets, producing a dense, repeating pattern that reads almost like a textile.

Chicoloapan Map Poster & Print
Chicoloapan lies on the eastern side of the Valley of Mexico, in the State of México, where the metropolitan area spreads toward the foot of the mountains. Its historic centre is a small cluster of streets around a church and plaza, the core of what was once a farming village. Around it, the city has expanded rapidly over the last few decades.
Most of that growth came as large planned housing estates, and on the map they are unmistakable: tight rows of identical plots, closed loops and cul-de-sacs, each development forming its own self-contained pattern. Seen together they create a striking texture, almost like fabric, that contrasts sharply with the irregular streets of the old town and the open land still remaining on the edges.
A Chicoloapan map poster is for people who live here or grew up here, and for anyone fascinated by how modern cities are made. The repetition of the estates, the older roads that cut across them and the hills toward the east combine into a composition that feels graphic and contemporary rather than historic.

Village core
The old centre around the church and main square keeps an irregular layout, a small knot of streets that predates the estates surrounding it on every side.
Metropolitan roads
Main roads link Chicoloapan with neighbouring municipalities and with Mexico City, cutting straight lines through the estates and tying the suburb into the wider metropolis.

Anlam taşıyan bir harita
For many families Chicoloapan is where a first home was bought, a new chapter in the growing metropolis. A map of the neighbourhood marks that step with more meaning than a generic city skyline, and its pattern makes a bold wall piece.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps the name of your development or the year you moved in, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
