Cosmópolis is a town in the state of São Paulo, in the Campinas metropolitan region. From above, the centre is a fairly regular grid of blocks, and newer neighbourhoods have filled in around it. Roads leave the town toward Paulínia, Campinas and other nearby towns.
The land around Cosmópolis is dominated by agriculture, especially sugarcane, which covers much of the countryside in this part of the state. The large fields form broad, geometric shapes that surround the town and give it a clear edge on the map.
