Sertão setting
Open semi-arid countryside surrounds the town on every side, so the built-up area stands out clearly as a single compact shape on the page.

Currais Novos Map Poster & Print
Currais Novos is in the Seridó region of Rio Grande do Norte, in the semi-arid interior of northeastern Brazil. The name means new corrals and points to the town's cattle-ranching origins. Seen from above, it is a tight cluster of streets in open, rocky country, with highways leading out across the scrub to neighbouring Seridó towns.
Mining is the town's best-known industry. The Brejuí mine nearby became one of the most important sources of scheelite, a tungsten ore, in South America, and for decades it shaped the local economy. The old mine grounds have since become a place for visitors. On a map, the industrial area appears as a separate knot of tracks and pits outside the urban core.
In the town itself, the older centre around the main church has short, slightly irregular blocks, and newer neighbourhoods fan out in more regular patterns. Small reservoirs and seasonal watercourses mark the surrounding land, and they matter a lot in a dry climate. A Currais Novos map poster sets the dense town against wide, pale sertão, a contrast that suits a monochrome print.

Scheelite mining heritage
The Brejuí scheelite mine outside town produced tungsten ore for decades, and its grounds form a distinct cluster of tracks away from the residential streets.
Reservoirs and dry creeks
Small dams and seasonal streams draw thin, irregular lines around the town and show how carefully water is held in the Seridó.

Anlam taşıyan bir harita
People from the Seridó often keep a strong attachment to their home towns, and this map is a quiet way to show it in a flat in Natal, São Paulo or abroad. The plain lines match the landscape's own spareness.
Add a family name, the year someone left or came back, or any other short line to the title, subtitle and coordinates. Choose one of five styles, including Sand, which suits the sertão palette. Download the files for $9 or order a matte print, framed or unframed.
