Lowland waterways
Channels and drainage lines cross the flat ground around the town. They are drawn as thin curves that contrast with the straight roads and show how close the area lies to the sea.

Dangjiang Map Poster & Print
Dangjiang is a town in the far south of Guangxi, a short distance north of the port city of Beihai. The land is flat and sits close to sea level, so water organizes the map more than hills do. Channels, ponds and field boundaries fill the space between a compact built-up core and the roads leading out of it.
Southern Guangxi faces the Gulf of Tonkin, and people along this stretch of coast have long lived from fishing, aquaculture and farming on low ground. Towns like Dangjiang grew as market centres for the villages around them. Their street patterns reflect that role, with a denser centre and a looser spread of lanes into the countryside.
A Dangjiang map poster captures the texture of that lowland. At poster scale the regular pattern of ponds and plots reads almost like a woven surface, broken by the straighter lines of the main roads. It is a quiet, geometric image of a place that rarely appears in guidebooks but has been home to many families for generations.

Pond and field pattern
Rectangular ponds and field plots surround the built-up area. They create a regular, tiled texture that fills the outer parts of the map.
Compact town centre
The core is a tight knot of short streets and small blocks, clearly denser than the countryside around it. It gives the composition a natural focal point.
