Helan Mountains edge
West of the town the street network stops abruptly where the ground starts to climb. The range forms a natural boundary and gives the whole composition a clear, uneven edge.

Dawukou Map Poster & Print
Dawukou sits on the western edge of the Ningxia plain, where flat irrigated farmland meets the dry, folded slopes of the Helan Mountains. On a map the contrast is immediate. On one side there is a compact block of streets. On the other the ground rises and goes blank, crossed only by a few roads and valleys that lead up into the range.
The district grew in the second half of the twentieth century as a coal town, and today it is the seat of Shizuishan city. You can see that origin in the plan. Streets run in long, straight lines and the blocks are broad. Rail lines and industrial sites cut across the grid and leave wide open patches that read clearly in black and white.
A Dawukou map poster works best when the frame is wide enough to show both halves of the story: the ordered town and the mountains pressing in from the west. With a loose scale, the edge of the range becomes a texture in its own right and balances the geometry of the streets.

Planned street grid
Long, straight avenues and broad blocks reflect the district's growth as a planned industrial town. The result is a regular pattern that prints cleanly at every size.
Rail and industry
Rail lines and former mining sites cut across the grid at angles. They are a reminder of the coal industry that shaped Dawukou from the start.

Neden Dawukou
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
For people who grew up or worked in Dawukou, the map is a direct record of home: the straight streets, with the mountains always visible to the west. It also suits anyone drawn to industrial towns and the plain honesty of their plans.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line to add a name or a year that matters, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir and Blueprint suit the town's hard-edged geometry especially well.
