Gamping Lor Map Poster & Print
Gamping Lor lies in Gamping district, Sleman Regency, on the western edge of greater Yogyakarta. The area sits on the broad plain that slopes down from Mount Merapi to the north, and its map is a mix of dense kampung lanes, larger roads and remaining patches of rice fields. The western ring road runs nearby, a long curve that frames the city from outside.
The name Gamping refers to lime, and the district has long been associated with limestone; a small outcrop that was once quarried is now protected as a nature reserve. The area also appears in the founding story of Yogyakarta, as the first sultan is said to have stayed in Gamping while the palace was being built in the 1750s.
A Gamping Lor map poster captures an area in transition, where the fine-grained street pattern of Javanese villages meets the broader lines of newer roads. Narrow alleys, small irregular blocks and the occasional open field produce a rich texture, exactly the kind of detail that rewards a minimalist black-and-white print and a closer look.

Ring road and Wates road
Yogyakarta's western ring road and the main road west toward Wates cross the district, giving the dense local network two strong, clear directions.
Limestone hill
A small limestone outcrop, the source of Gamping's name and long quarried for lime, survives as a protected site amid the surrounding streets and houses.
